DANIEL N. JANICH NAMED A FELLOW OF THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF EMPLOYEE BENEFITS COUNSEL
Chicago, October 3, 2006 – Daniel N. Janich, founder and managing principal of Janich Law Group, has been named a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC). Mr. Janich was inducted into the ACEBC, together with 23 other honorees, in a special ceremony held at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, September 30, 2006.
To qualify for induction, a Fellow must have at least 20 years of experience in the practice of employee benefits law, and demonstrate a sustained commitment to raising public awareness and understanding of benefits law through writing, speaking, public policy analysis, public education and/or public service. An attorney who is nominated must also maintain a high level of professional services to clients, the bar and to the public. Selection as a Fellow is a high honor of national distinction in that it recognizes the inductee as among the nation’s top employee benefits attorneys.
Mr. Janich’s employee benefits and executive compensation practice is focused upon serving the needs of business and professionals in both transactional and litigation matters. He currently serves as Management Co-Chair of the Reporting and Disclosure Subcommittee of the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law Employee Benefits Committee, and is past Chair of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Mr. Janich is also an Associate Senior Editor of Employee Benefits Law, a legal treatise published by the Bureau of National Affairs. He has written numerous journal articles and book chapters on employee benefits and executive compensation issues, and is a frequent speaker at annual meetings of bar associations and professional organizations, and at civic and charitable functions.
